Back in July, when we were visiting Jacki and John in North Carolina, I dropped our camera at the aquarium and broke it. After waiting over a month to find the right camera, and we finally found it tonight! We found the perfect camera at Wal-Mart, but they were out of stock. So we headed to Sears and they had the same camera in stock. It’s larger than a point and shoot camera, but smaller than an SLR-which is perfect for us. We bought it just in time for our trip to Kelley’s Island this week. I can’t wait to try it out!

Since my OB doctor thought that my dates were a little off, he ordered an early ultrasound. It turns out that the dates are perfect, but I’m SO glad that we got a sneak preview at our cute little baby! The ultrasound technician said that the baby looks great and the heart was beating at a rate of 168. Check out some pictures!

I had my first actual appointment with my OB today. Brit met me around 1 pm and we got into the room pretty quickly. The doctor did the usual annual check-up and then we moved onto the main reason for the visit. We got to hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time! I couldn’t wait to hear that sweet beat, and it was everything that I remembered from my pregnancy with Austin. Hearing the heartbeat seemed to make the pregnancy that much more real and I’m so excited to meet this baby!! The heartbeat was 178, so does that mean it’s a boy or a girl?  🙂

Everything else went really well and the doctor said that I’m actually measuring larger than “normal”.  According to my current due date, I’m a little over 10 weeks.  The doctor estimated that I’m at 12 weeks, so he asked me to come back next week for an ultrasound to possibly change my due date.  I guess we’ll find out next week if we’ll have a Valentine’s day baby. Stay tuned…
