July 2010

On another weekend in June, we were lucky enough to go back to Kelleys Island with more friends. This time, the June bugs were in full force and it was nearly dangerous driving around with those buggers everywhere!  Minus the bugs, it was an amazing weekend and of course it went by too quickly. I love the island life!!

One of Adrianna’s current favorite games is Peek-A-Boo. She loves to put her blanket over her head and wait for you to “find” her.  If she can’t get the blanket over herself, she’ll keep saying “on, on, on” until you put it on her head. How can you say no to a face like that?!  (Oh, and if you see the picture of her with her eyes closed, sometimes she doesn’t even need a blanket to hide from us! lol)

I’ve really been slacking in updating the blog (thanks for the reminder, April!) 🙂  So I’m going to attempt and catch up on our busy summer weekends!

The first weekend in June, the senses came up to Kelleys Island for a weekend of fun!  The weather was gorgeous and we had a great time!

We caught up with my dad, who came over on the Booze Cruise for a family birthday

West Bay Punch!

Adrianna has been talking like crazy lately! Since about 15 months, her vocabulary has expanded exponentially and it is so much easier for her to communicate what she wants/needs.

Here is an abbreviated list of some of the words and phrases that she knows/understands/uses in the right context: hi, bye, night-night, Aussie, mommy, daddy, grandma, grandpa, jacki, over there, mine, yes, no, I want more (used a lot!), please (she thinks she can get anything is she tells us ‘please’!), up, down, yay!, puppy, french fries, water, milk, juice, cup, uh-oh (whenever she drops anything), I don’t know, thank you.

She is able to connect words ie: I want more, please!  She just recently started saying “thank you!” everytime you give her what she wants. It’s too cute!

She has SO many more words and phrases that she uses. Honestly, she learns so much each day and it’s hard to believe. I guess girls really do have more to say! 🙂

Our kids can’t resist making funny faces…

Here is the post with Austin wearing the same shirt:

Austin loves to play Skee Ball on my mom’s iPhone and didn’t quite understand how it worked in the real world:

He started to get the hang of it….

He wasn’t quite strong enough, so the ball kept coming back to him…

But he had fun anyway!

Adrianna was playing upstairs and it seemed a little too quiet…and this is what I found…
