February 2016

Here are some Adrianna-ism at Age 7:

  • She still loves gymnastics! She got an actual gymnastics mat for her birthday and loves to practice her cartwheels, roundoffs, bridges and walk-overs. She has really improved since last year and still enjoys doing bars the most.
  • She loves to make peanut butter and nutella sandwiches as her after school snack. She is always starving when she gets off the bus about 3:20 pm.
  • Her only request on her actual birthday was to “go to Starbucks in my pajamas and get a hot chocolate.” Here is the proof:
  • 10919058_10101991928366437_6761093928381733361_n
  • Her favorite color is blue. Like a bright/light blue
  • She absolutely loved her daddy/daughter dance and it pretty much makes her entire year. She loved wearing a fancy dress, getting her hair done by Aunt Sandi, wearing a pretty corsage and dancing with her daddy. She even said “Daddy will always be my only guy!”
  • 12717541_10101984000823297_1139587551718868936_n
  • Her favorite TV shows are Idiotest and Chain Reaction on the Game Show Network. She also likes Dancing With the Stars.
  • She lost two teeth. One on New Years Eve while in North Carolina visiting Jacki and John with my parents and one when she got back from that trip in early January. They were her bottom two front teeth and now she always smiles showing the space in her teeth!
  • Adrianna’s reading fluency has improved tremendously this year! I really attribute it to having such a great teacher, Deb Kessler, helping foster a love of reading for Adrianna. Adri is now reading chapter books and loves to read independently, just like Austin likes to.
  • Along with her reading, her writing and spelling has just exploded. She cries nearly every Monday because “this week’s spelling words are TOO HARD!” but every week, she gets 100%! Her words have been very tricky: amphibian, challenging, frightening, chameleon, etc…
  • She loves when I am able to come to mass at school with her and sit with her in the pew.  She said that it makes her feel special.
  • She calls her chest “my nibbles”
  • Adrianna does the most hilarious impression of a little old lady and said “I’m so oooooold, I need a cruuuutch!” It keeps us all rolling in laughter!
  • Adrianna is still an awesome, healthy eater, who will try most foods. She oddly doesn’t like rice, though. Her favorite foods are “any fruits and vegetables”.
  • She loves to watch Netflix (Pokemon, etc..)
  • She still loves to match her American Girl doll, Kirsten. She even got a AG jeep to pull her AG camper that she got last year!
  • Adrianna is still very cuddly and we all love it! She especially loves to pinch Austin’s cheeks (sometimes a little too hard!).
  • She loves to help Austin in any way that she can. She is independent and assertive. I can definitely see her being a teacher someday and running her own classroom.
  • Her favorite movies are Pixels and Star Wars. She watched the entire Star Wars series when she visited Jacki and John. She even got a huge Darth Vader blanket for her birthday!
  • She had her birthday party at Pat Catan’s this year and it was a hot chocolate themed party where we decorated coffee mugs. Who would’ve thought that it would be nearly 60 degrees on February 20 in Sandusky?!
  • She still wears a dress or skirt 99% of the time. (almost 2 years strong!)
  • Adrianna is still in Girl Scouts this year, but not loving it as much. She loves the events (Daddy/Daughter dance, Mommy and Me Carnival, etc…) but not the meetings as much. This year, she sold 231 boxes of Girl Scout cookies.
  • Adri loves to play basketball and especially defense. She has the best defensive stance in Sandusky!
  • Adrianna is going to play softball this summer for the first time and she can’t wait! We are hoping that she and Brylie are on the same team.
  • Adrianna got a cookie cake for her birthday party and it had a high heel on it! Oh boy!
  • Adrianna learned to ride a bike without training wheels this past summer 2015 and she just loves riding her bike around the neighborhood! She and Austin got electric scooters for Christmas from my parents and loves to ride it around the cul-de-sac!
  • She can finally completely shower on her own without help. It took a while to figure out how to wash (and get all the shampoo out of) all of that long hair!
  • Adrianna is just such a joy in our lives! I don’t know what we would do without her bubbly, silly, awesome self!! 🙂
